The De’Longhi EN85B suits an Original-capsule routine without a coffee grinder. Choose this machine-only variant if you have, or do not need, a separate milk solution. Verify the exact bundle and operating access before buying.
Keep what works. If your current Original machine works and its routine fits, a replacement may not improve the decision that matters.

Capsule access
The lever is at the top. Check that you can reach and open it in your actual counter position.

The cup sits on the forward tray. Used capsules and drips still need routine handling and cleaning.

The removable tank sits behind the body. Plan how you will refill and remove it. The selected machine has no milk wand.

Original and Vertuo are different systems.
This Essenza Mini uses the Original capsule family. Do not buy it expecting to use Vertuo capsules. Compatibility comes before color, dimensions or a tempting bundle description.
If you already own capsules, identify their system first. If your goal is brewing loose ground coffee, this capsule machine is the wrong route; compare manual brewing or the Bambino instead.
Check the capsule box for Original-system compatibility. For third-party capsules, require an explicit claim for that system; a generic “Nespresso-compatible” label alone does not resolve Original versus Vertuo.
Machine only means you need a milk plan.
The selected product is the De’Longhi EN85B, black, machine only. A different listing may include an Aeroccino or other accessories, but those inclusions cannot be assumed for this choice.
For black capsule coffee, a separate milk device may be unnecessary. For milk drinks, decide how you will heat or texture milk with equipment you already own, or confirm a suitable separate solution. Do not let the word “espresso” imply a built-in milk workflow.
Check the room around the narrow body.
De’Longhi lists a body approximately 4.3 inches wide, 12.8 inches deep and 8.1 inches high for this US model. That is a body reference, not the total space needed to refill it or remove waste. Do not transfer these dimensions to the Breville-manufactured Essenza variant.
Consider where the reservoir is reached, where your cup goes and how you empty the used-capsule container. Keep capsules and any milk device in the same plan. Use your own measurements for the actual movement and access.
Decide what you will keep buying.
A capsule machine removes the grinder decision, but it commits the routine to compatible capsules. Compare the way you want to buy coffee and handle used capsules, not only the appliance’s upfront cost.
We do not promise a particular per-drink saving or better taste. Capsule prices, consumption and preferred drinks differ, and we have not tested this machine’s sensory performance.

Can I use Vertuo capsules?
No. This EN85B is an Original-system machine. Check the capsule family, including any third-party compatibility claim, before buying.
Is the De’Longhi model identical to the Breville version?
Do not assume the body, bundle or dimensions are identical. This guide and its destination refer to the De’Longhi EN85B black machine-only variant.
Is a grinder required?
No. This route uses compatible capsules rather than coffee beans ground at home.
